MCWT Announces New President
Michigan Council of Women in Technology’s Kristin Odeh begins role as President

DETROIT– February 16, 2004 – The Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Odeh to the position of president.Odeh replaces Sandy Moore, who has served as the Council’s president since its formation in 2001.Odeh has served as vice president of the organization over the past year and is responsible for the acquisition of the sponsorship donations from companies such as Ford Motor Company, R.L. Polk and Deloitte and Touche.

Odeh brings to MCWT a broad body of experience in technology and management.Currently Director of Global Consumer Systems at Ford Motor Company, Odeh is responsible for developing the marketing, sales and service systems strategic direction that will enable Ford Motor Company to become the world's leading consumer company for automotive products and services.A frequent speaker at industry events, Odeh has also been quoted in most of the major technology industry publications, including Information Week and Computer World.

Regarding her appointment, Odeh stated, “I hope to bring my experience and enthusiasm to this organization to positively impact our efforts in community relations, professional development, membership, corporate partnerships and scholarships.The members of MCWT are devoted technology professionals who freely give of themselves for this organization.I am proud and honored to serve in this capacity.”

An active leader in the technology industry, Odeh was awarded the distinction of being one of the "100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry" in September of 2000.Other honors Odeh has received include becoming a Strathmore's Who's Who Honorary Member and being awarded the Ford Work/Life Integration Award.Odeh is also a member of several other associations, including: Women in Technologies Industry, Ford Professional Women's Network, Ford Marketing Diversity Council, Ford External Hire Recruiting Process and Menttium.
